It is the intention of the Trust, in accordance with what we know of Karl’s wishes, to use his bequest to seek, find and support young people who seem to have the seeds within themselves of Karl’s kind of extraordinariness – to bring possibilities, love and care to them in the same way it came to Karl.
It’s in light of this that we welcome support from Karl’s remarkable network. We believe Karl’s real legacy lies not in the money that we can invest in opening doors for young people, although this is in itself a profound gift. We believe Karl’s greatest legacy lies in you, in us – a network he attracted and connected; people who are values-driven, who delight in the broad richness of life and culture, and who would be willing to mentor, host, coach, befriend, or otherwise extend support to the young people who will in time be the beneficiaries of the Karl Flowers Trust.
